State Training Conference – Sheila Blevins

July 18-20 at the Wigwam Resort.  We have an active Call for Papers for the conference so if you are interested, please see the website or contact Lusandra Harris. Vendor Hall update from Tonia Rogers.  

New Business:

          9-1-1 Goes to Washington – Pat Joy and Mark Schroeder

ENP Scholarships – Mark Schroeder - two scholarship requests for re-certification have been approved by the Board. Any other requests must be made in writing to the Executive Board through Sheila Blevins.

Western Regional 2014 – Sheila Blevins and Tonia Rogers – We attended the 2010 APCO Western Regional Conference in January in Denver with the express purpose of bidding to host the 2014 Western Regional Conference.  We have successfully secured the 2014 APCO Western Regional Conference.  The Conference Committee that is in place for the State Training Conferences has agreed to work on the 2014 Western Regional Conference. An RFP for host locations has been sent out with the assistance of the Phoenix Visitors Bureau and we are waiting on all responses to begin reviewing proposals. We are looking to hold the conference in the March/April time frame in order to incorporate the Spring Training Baseball theme that we based on bid on. 

Awards Nominations – Liz Graeber and Pat Joy  Open nominations right now for National APCO.  We also need to establish the procedure to illicit nominations for recognition at the State Training Conference Dinner.
