Meeting called to order General Meeting, by Carol Campbell at 1010  Quarterly Meeting

 

We had a general introduction….of the room

 

Minutes, approval of the minutes of the last meeting (tabled for the moment, unk if the site has updated the web site from the minutes.)

 

NENA treasurer report….Mary was absent.

 

Secretary’s Report…..314 members in Arizona including commercial member

 

Executive Council Report---Susan had to leave for another meeting. Diana Borasch, has had to resign due to her health. Information available on the national website.

 

Dan update on the Interagency Communications. Dan Wills from Sedona Fire gave us an update on the Interagency Communications, it looks good, a  good representation of the state. They are soliciting memberships, Operational Communication is being co-chaired by Dan Wells and Dan Wills, if you have any interest in any of the committees having to do with the Interagency Communications and get on the board.

 

Frequency Advisor Report—Mark Schroeder---as the frequency advisor coordinator for Arizona.  Visit the Yahoo group on the web for information.  No charges for the Chapter on any chapter business.  Technical Operations Committee—Mark Schroeder…

 

Emergency Medical Services Report…Steve Powell---on the DPS website he has a list of all the users on EMSCOM,,list 56 pages of EMSCOM call sign. The system is growing, mostly a rural thing, not used much in the Metro Areas of Phx and Tucson.

 

The activities and membership committee would be headed by the President Elect. We should bump up our membership.   E-mail Carol and with what you are interested in.

 

Fire Chiefs Association and the Fire Marshall’s web site with their mailing lists.

 

Tami DeRuiter….nominations Committee, openings for Secretary, and Treasurer and Vice President, NENA will need to a 2nd Vice-President.

 

Training Conference, cancelled for January 2005, will be going to January 2006….We will need volunteers to help with the Training Conference. Mark Schroeder will help with the training conference. For those of you doing budgets for 2006, get your training money/budget in early, and commit to that.

 

 

Trudy and Liz will co-chair the Telecommunicator and Technical Training Committee.

 

Les—Larry Sears, from Pima County is the new ARRC president, meeting this morning, they have appointed a sub-committee involving the 800 MHz rebanding information. They are planning a meeting at the end of January, would like to recognize Les Jones as the former chair of the ARRC for the last 4 years, his hard work and dedication to the 800 MHz program.

 

No news on the 700 MHz front.  No one has been approved in Arizona. They are checking on the E-911 for the state.

  

Dan from Sedona Fire gave a great presentation on Emergency Command Response. Great Information, thanks Dan it was very informative.
