Executive Meeting - APCO/NENA AZ Board

February 19, 2003

TC Week Update—Mary Dysinger-Franklin

Met yesterday with the group, they want to have the bags and stuff done by March 21, 2003.  May name a star for telecommuncator week, antennae balls.  Discussion is ongoing.  STAR is going to be the theme.   Maybe get newspaper coverage. Will keep everyone updated on the committee.

Customer Service Training Class

We will have 22 people in the class.  We will provide breakfast pastries, juices in the morning and cookies and sodas in the afternoon. 

Will go to Yuma on March 14 and 15 Liz will be going to teach TDD.  We need to order more books.

2004 State Training Conference

January is normally when we do our conference.  Susan M will not be able to chair it, she does not have enough time.  We will not hold a training conference in Jan. 2004.  We need to remember to get a chair person for the 2005 conference and be careful with the budget. Steve Souder teaches a class on the sniper incident in DC in October, will check into getting him to come and do a class. 

There will be no money coming in, so we need to be very frugal with the money we do have.

2 days of meetings in Las Vegas.

Susan will send e copy of the results to everyone.  Will also send out a copy of Roberts Rules of Order to everyone.

Karen on Lojak

She has someone come in at chapter meetings to learn more about Lojak and how it works. He will be at the next meeting.

 Chapter Meetings:

We need to actively recruit for a person for each meeting. We will sit down at each meeting and decide what we would like to talk about.

Discussion on what to do with Sam Bass retirement?? Mike Z said he would take it over, but hasn’t done anything.

Discussion on what to do with the Sec and President of APCO, when they repeat as executive board members, we don’t pay for them to go to National. Ongoing discussion will be addressed at future meetings.
