Meeting Called to Order: 10:15 Mark Schroeder, President
Approval of Minutes: A motion to approval the minutes of the last meeting as posted on the website was made and 2nd. The motion carried.
Elections: 2nd Vice-President nominations yielded one candidate, Emily Garcia of Pinal County Sheriffs Department. Being one candidate, a motion was made by Pat Joy to approve Emily Garcia as 2nd Vice-President; Barbara Jaeger 2nd. The motion carried.

AZ TERT Report: Sandra Gilstad During the Executive Board Meeting it was decided the AZ APCO-NENA Board will take an active role in AZ TERT. The Board is also agreeable to AZ TERT becoming a new committee under AZ APCO-NENA. These decisions will be taken back to the current AZ TERT members for consideration and determination. Work is ongoing on the membership selection criteria manual.
Commercial Advisory Report: Julie Heimkes Gold Tournament to benefit Arizona APCO-NENA scholarships is scheduled for January 20, 2011 at the Wigwam Golf Resort. Julie advised we are still accepting 4somes as well as individual golfers. We are still accepting and searching for raffle prizes. Julie facilitated an introduction of Commercial Members present.
Technical Advisory and Interoperability Committee: Scott Tillman and Mark Schroeder:
Scholarships for ENP and RPL: Sheila Blevins The Arizona chapter has received one request for ENP Scholarship and one request for RPL Scholarship consideration. The Executive Board approved the ENP scholarship request for Carla Reece during the Conference call December 9th, 2010 because the Chapter has historically approved the support of this program. Discussion is necessary regarding the implementation or support for the APCO RPL program. Toni Rogers made a motion to: offer $3,000 for APCO training courses or certifications and $3,000 for NENA courses or certifications to be awarded by the Executive Board, the motion was 2nd by Scott Tillman. There was a lengthy discussion with the original motion modified to the final version as stated above. The motion carried.
Arizona Chapter Pin Presentation: Jack Daniel Longtime member Jack Daniel presented the Arizona Chapter members with Chapter pins which contained the newly redesigned logo. Jack worked closely with the Executive board on the design and colors of the new pin. The pin contains a rarely seen application that allows the copper color to be visible which compliments Arizona and the Copper State. Jack gifted the Chapter with 500 lapel pins.
Western Regional 2011: Sheila Blevins The Executive Board agreed to send three representatives to the Western Regional Conference in Ontario California February 2011. Sandra Gilstad, President; Tonia Rogers, Vice-President and Patty Long-Spencer Treasurer. The Town of Marana has agreed to allow use of one of their vehicles for transportation with AZ APCO-NENA purchasing additional gas.
Arizona State Training Conference and Western Regional 2014: Sheila Blevins The State Training Conference is July 17-19, 2011 at the Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa. The Committee Chairs are in place and the contracts have been signed. LuSandra Harris is working to publish the first call for papers with the desire to have the program set in order to adequately publish the schedule in advance.
The Western Regional 2014 will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, Arizona. The contract negotiations are ongoing and progressing.
New Business: Alarm Interface: Karen Allen Karen briefed the attendees regarding the Alarm Interface work that is ongoing. Trials have been completed and Karen will keep a close eye on the progress of the initiative.
Memorial Brick for Susan Williams: Sheila Blevins A 16 X 16 memorial brick was purchased by the Chapter to be added to the APCO Walk of Heroes. The brick should be placed sometime in March of 2011 and National APCO will forward a picture to the Chapter when the brick has been set.
Debbie Henry Retirement: Debbie Henry with the Arizona Department of Public Safety is retiring December 31, 2010 after 33 years of service. Karen Allen is attending the celebration to recognize Debbie on behalf of the Chapter.
Recognition for Sandra Gilstad: Jennifer Foster of Pinal County Sheriffs Department presented a plaque to Sandra Gilstad in recognition of her service there since she has moved to the Arizona State 9-1-1 Office.
Recognition of Board Members: Mark Schroeder Mark presented plaques of recognition to the Executive Board of 2010 in recognition of their service. Sandra Gilstad, Vice-President; Tonia Rogers, 2nd Vice-President, Patsy Joy, Executive Council; Sheila Blevins, Secretary; Patricia Spencer, Treasurer.
The Executive Board for 2011 was sworn in by NENA 2nd Vice-President, Barbara Jaeger:
