In the cover letter and resume, please
describe any experience with licensed private microwave
networks; VHF,UHF, or 800 land mobile radio systems including
exp in trunked systems; mobile data; maintenance standards for
large private land mobile radio systems; site construction; and
migration/conversion of analog to digital microwave.
Additionally, indicate your ability to work effectively with
teams and any exp with the development of positive interpersonal
relationships with other governmental agencies. Also include any
exp managing or implementing large telecommunications projects
to include geographic area, number of agencies and individual
users supported.
Skills / Requirements Requires a
bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in
electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, or related
field; OR 7 yrs of telecommunications exp specializing in
electronic telecommunications systems and the design,
construction, and maintenance of large regional or statewide
communications system. Must have 5 yrs of progressively
responsible project mgmt exp in a large regional or statewide
telecommunications system. Desirable candidate will possess a
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or
equivalent. This position is for a Digital Microwave System
conversion project.
All candidates meeting minimum qualifications for this position
will participate in a testing process.

supervising the work of shop and field Telecommunications
Technicians
providing for land mobile radio equipment
construction, installation, maintenance, and operations in a
functional or geographic
area which may include several radio
shops.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN
FLAGSTAFF - PHOENIX

Requires 1)
High School Diploma or equivalent; 2) completion of a formal
electronics technology program;
3) technical certification (e.g., FCC General Class License PCIA or APCO Technical
Certificate,
CET Journeyman Certificate with a Communications
endorsement or equivalent) OR acquire the FCC General License or
the
PCO Technician Certificate within six months of date of
hire; 4) two years of paid work experience in electronics
technology,
one year of which must have been in the last five
years performing component level repair of FM two-way or
multi-channel radio
equipment (FCC Part 90, Part 101, or
