Senior Radio Communications
System Engineer The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Radio Communications System Engineer. This position will play a key role in the technical planning, building, and migration to a “next generation” regional public safety communications system. Candidates should have proven and demonstrated experience in large, mobile trunked radio systems and extensive microwave backhaul networks. Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, telecommunications engineering, AND five years of full time professional level engineering experience in the field of electronic communications which must have included working with large multi-site radio and/or microwave networks OR an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years. Professional certification is highly desirable. Salary range is $78,644.80 to $95,617.60 annually.
